Nice room but the sink was blocked.

My room at the top of the hotel was blessed with an air conditioner
no elevator; heavy building construction with tall crane next door starting at 7 AM weekdays; too few tables at breakfast time.

I just wal;ked in the dorr, handed over my passport--and thart was that! They didn't even ask for my credit card. a week later it took 30 minutes to check into WSantiago (not my choice but my host's), the losy canned music was loud as in a disco, and the staff was so poorly trained that they gave 4 different ways to retireve message on my phone--and none of the worked?
Couldn't stay longer!!

The staff was nice and the location was great. Good value for the money.
There was construction that was so loud we could not sleep. It was really bad.

Staff was very pleasant and helpful (had to buy a Chilean cellphone and transformers for my appliances and the staff helped me find places to do all of that cheaply). Also a great location, all of 3 blocks from the metro station (Manuel Montt). Also, free wi-fi (always a plus).
Gringos beware--the staff speaks very little English. You can get by if you don't speak Spanish as long as you're willing to act things out, but it will be a little tricky. Same with navigating the metro system. Also, the free breakfast is coffee/tea, juice, and bread. They'll give you more bread if you ask, but don't expect a big American-style breakfast. Finally, there's no central heating so it can be a little chilly in thewinter (plenty of blankets though).

Great central location in the Providencia district.
I called from Easter Island to inquire if the hotel could arrange for airport pickup in Santiago. The desk clerk said a cab would be waiting for us. We arrived after 9:30pm and there was no one to pick us up! The hotel staff is not bilingual. The desk clerk should've stated, "no hablo ingles" or no speaka English" anything but "yes, taxi for you at 9:30pm." Thus, we did battle with the cab driver/hustlers at the airport. Addendum: the lady who checked us in was very gracious and spoke perfect English. The WiFi did not work.

Good location, close to shops and restaurants.
Many rooms were available but we were put in a small room on the higher floor of the hotel (without a lift) while we have seen only one guest at the hotel and empty rooms with the doors even open.

A cosy hotel. Not exactly in the center, but it's easily reachable by metro, as it's near the Manuel Montt station (Line 1). The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our double room had big windows and an incredible amount of space. A nice place to stay in Santiago.
The bathroom was clean, but very small and had no ventilation.
